The Cold Pressed Facts about Our Juice

WE ARE RAW. WE ARE PURE. WE ARE TRANSPARENT.

WE ARE COLD PRESSED.

The core to our values. You may have noticed these words, but what do they really mean? Apart from the taste, the label and the price of our juices, how much do you really know? Behold, a piece about the truth.

Cold pressed.

= easy (for you).

Find us another way of extracting and transforming 1,5 to 2 kilograms of fruits and vegetables into a half a liter drink, without losing vitamins and nutrients, and we’ll take it. There just isn’t. What happens with ‘regular’ centrifugal juicing, is that the heat of the rotating blades allows for oxidation to happen, meaning you’re gonna lose those vitamins and nutrients. But our machines harness those for you. Our first cold-press juicer was also the first commercial juicer of this shape and size to be introduced in Europe at the time, all the way from the United States. We since then have put a lot of time, effort and love into our machinery, which have multiplied to a blossoming amount of four. Juicing with us is not the same as juicing at home. It's a process of extensive preparation, slow pressing till the final drop, and carefully cleaning up afterwards. The cleaning itself already takes at least 4 hours every day. In your busy lives, ain't nobody got time for that! We make time for that.

Raw.

= fresh.

Technically, raw food means that it has not been heated above 48 degrees, so basically, food in its natural state. This way, it becomes way easier for your body to absorb all the benefits. This is also the reason why our juices expire within three to four days, unlike some other juices that state to be natural, but have an expiration date that lays weeks ahead. This is done through High Pressure Processing, a secondary process that comes after the juices are pressed and bottled, providing a shelf life of about 30-45 days. The juice will contain almost no living microbial content. Doesn't sound so natural to us. Should you buy the ingredients of those juices yourself, they would never last that long in your fridge. More like three to four days?

Pure.

= organic.

By pure, we mean free from preservatives, colouring, or any other additives. We mean cultivated without the use of any chemical fertilizers. That’s the other side of bringing you food in its natural state. We are 100% organic, 100% of the time. In our opinion, drinking a juice knowing there's toxins on the ingredients kind of beats down the purpose. No need to go to your local organic store and buy kale, cucumber, romaine, celery, ginger, spinach, parsley and lemon. You find them all in one bottle, The Fix in this case, unifying vitamins and nutrients from all of the above into one sippable and delicious entity.

Transparent.

= honest.

Transparency allows light and sight to pass through, so that objects can be seen clearly. In physics, transparency means transmitting a radiation without distortion. That’s exactly what we’re trying to do. We transmit to you a radiant feeling of health and wellbeing, without any twists. No empty promises to be ‘natural’ or ‘organic’, then to be filled with cr*p. No advertising 'fresh' or ‘cold pressed’, while actually being pressed through HPP or centrifugal juicers. There are no clear laws that require pasteurization methods to be put on the label, so there's a lot of sneaky marketing out there. Not at TCPJ. What you see is what you get. No lies, just us, doing what we do best, giving you raw, pure, transparent, cold pressed health. And oh how we love doing it.
