Inner Peace. Whether you're spiritual or not, we're all after it. With this fast paced life, stress as the main cause for disease, burn-outs on the rise, and all other contemporary challenges we face daily, more and more people are drawn to the warmth and slower pace of ancient philosophies. We need something different than the static, individualistic, ego-driven Western way.

Luckily, besides challenges, this day and age has benefits too. One of the main ones has to be our capacity to broaden our horizon and connect. When ancient wisdom merges with modern days efficiency, it can spread and communicate messages and techniques in a beautiful and enjoyable way. This is what's done at the Inner Peace Conference, where teachers, philosophers, artists and spiritual leaders from all over the world come together to shine their light on the road to Inner Peace.

The third edition of the Inner Peace conference will take place on the 6th and 7th of October this year, at four monumental locations throughout Amsterdam. On Friday the 5th, there will also be a special program held for the first time, Wisdom in Businessfor entrepreneurs and creatives. Each program is full of insight, practice, knowledge, and joy. In light of this... enlightening event, we're chatting to the IPC-team to see what and who we really can't miss and why.

"There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do, and mostly live."

— Dalai Lama

What is the main intention behind the organization of the Inner Peace Conference?

We dream and believe that we can all find common ground in Inner Peace - leading us to live in harmoniously. We have a diverse program of workshops, lectures, teachings and concerts by internationally renowned teachers to let people discover their path to inner peace; finding truth and discovering their true nature. We hope to inspire people to choose for inner peace and dedicate themselves to live and share that. The conference is open to everyone, anyone who has an interest in awareness development. We offer tools for a quieter, more creative and compassionate life.

What time-table events can we really not miss this year?

All sessions are worth seeing, really, we did our best to invite world-class teachers and peace builders. But to name a few: we are blessed that the youngest high priestess from Bali, Ida Resi Alit, is in our midst. After a near-death experience, she spoke all languages including all the oldest languages like Sanskrit. Scilla Elworthy, who is Nobel Price Nominee (3 times!) and adviser of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Sir Richard Branson, gives a workshop "how to master outer action". Lama Tsultrim Allione teaches you how to master your inner demons or negative emotions, breathing expert Max Strom shares powerful breathing exercises, Hector Ramos and Satya & Sahaj talk about sacred sexuality/intimacy to rebalance the masculine and feminine energy which is highly needed in our world today. Juno Burger, energy clearer, learns us why we are tired after a visit to the Ikea and Eddie Stern, Astanga Yoga teacher of Gwyneth Paltrow and Moby, comes especially from New York to share his knowledge on sacred speech, to become more truthful.

Sounds amazing, so many teachers! We heard you have big plans for the future too: inviting his holiness the Dalai Lama… Can you tell us, why him?

He is a big inspiration and example for us as he intensively promotes the message of kindness and compassion, inner faith, understanding, respect for everyone and above all world peace. He embodies our philosophy: that peace in the world relies on individuals finding inner peace.
