GOT THE MUNCHIES? WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED.

It’s prime nesting season. It’s cold. It’s dark. Why on earth did we ever think we wanted to leave the house? Right now, there’s nothing more appealing than cosying up with a warm blanket, a friend and a great movie. And you know what? We totally support you!

And everyone knows that snacks are completely crucial when you’re settling in for an evening of Netflix ‘n’ chill. Unfortunately, however, the typical roster of food and snacks you munch on as you watch Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts in Notting Hill tend to fall in the unhealthy camp. Chips, candy, huge bars of chocolate. Don’t get us wrong, we know they’re tasty, but do you really want to feel hungover from all that salt and sugar the next day? We didn’t think so.

Rather than leave you high and dry (and without snacks *gasp*), we’re rounding up a list of the most delicious, healthy nibbles to keep you company for every at-home movie night or Saturday afternoon binge of The Handmaid’s Tale.

1. Crispy Roasted Chickpeas. These are salty, crunchy and delicious. Way better than any old potato chips for sure! The cayenne pepper may also temporarily increase your metabolism, so you can totally reach for that extra handful.

2. Banoffee Parfait. You’ll forget all about those unhealthy pastries you were eyeing at the bakery counter when you take your first spoonful of our amazing Banoffee Parfait. It’s packed with bananas, cashews, coconuts, dates and almonds with a touch of maple syrup, cacao, cinnamon and vanilla for sweetness.

3. Kale Chips. These are almost too good to be true. Salty, crispy and moreish, they’re so damn good you’ll never grab a bag of Doritos again. The best part? They’re totally customizable. We’re particularly partial to sea salt, garlic powder and onion powder. YUM.

4. Popcorn. Wait what?! That’s right. We said popcorn. But rather than buying those pre-popped or microwaveable bags, we’re advocating for good old homemade stuff. Popcorn is a light but filling whole grain that will keep you full without filling you up too much. We love to add a little cheese flavour with nutritional yeast and add a sprinkle of Aleppo pepper to bring the heat.

5. Twix Bar. No, not the one from the supermarket. We’re talking about our incredible sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free and delicious Twix Bar. Or Bounty Bar. Or Salted Caramel Slice! They taste better than your factory-made candy bars, and you’ll feel fantastic – bursting with nutrients – after you eat one.

6. Cookie Dough Bars. We don’t even know how to describe how freaking good these are. They do double duty, satisfying that good old movie-watching craving for cookie dough and serving as a high protein snack, all at the same time.

7. Superfood Fruit Salad. If you’re more of a mindless muncher, this is a perfect snack for you. You can graze as long as you like, as this fruity treat is chock full of nutrient-dense superfoods.

8. The Sinner. Can’t bear to give up your pint of Ben & Jerry’s? Let us offer you the rich, indulgent The Sinner instead. This sinner feels like the most luxurious ice cream out there, but it’s really made up of good-for-you banana, nut caramel, coconut, vanilla and cinnamon and cashew milk. You might as well get two. No one is judging!
